Committees and Representatives

CIAM’s executive committee is a mix of elected members from within the collective management societies and representatives of the partner alliances. The representation is also geographically diverse to ensure that all regions of the world have the opportunity to share their voice.

President

Born in 1982, Arriën Molema is an award-winning artist and songwriter from the Netherlands, who is an advocate for creators and artists and holds a law-degree in IP-law. He has released multiple (gold and platinum rewarded) records, toured through different countries (e.g. Canada, South-Africa, Japan, the Netherlands), and composed for TV-shows, movies and has multiple sync-placements.

Nowadays his focus lies, next to music, on advocating for creators and artists. He was Vice-Chair of BumaStemra, boardmember of ECSA, and is part of the supervisory board of the HKU (University of the Arts). Furthermore, he has co-founded and is currently chairing the Dutch Songwriters Society (BAM! Popauteurs), the biggest and fastest growing songwriter-society in the Netherlands for popmusic.

His skills and competencies lie in getting the next generation of creators involved, in ensuring the position of creators in the development of new technologies like blockchain and AI, in cultural policy and its place in society, and in implementing good governance policies.
