Carlos Lara is a very successful and seasoned songwriter and music producer in Latin America.

He has sold over 30 million copies during the last three decades, writing and producing for artists like Ricky Martin, RBD, Menudo, Luis Fonsi, Timbiriche, Magneto, Gloria Trevi, Eiza Gonzalez, and Jenni Rivera, to name a few.

Songs like “Te Extraño, Te Olvido, Te Amo” (Ricky Martin), “Bazar” (Flans), “El” (Jenni Rivera), “Para Siempre” (Magneto), “Rebelde” or “Salvame” (RBD) and many more, have been part of multi-platinum albums and number one in different countries around Latin America and the US Latin Market.

Carlos has written and produced the music for different sitcoms for Televisa ( the biggest TV Network in the Hispanic Market) like “A mil por hora,” “Clase 406”, “Rebelde,” or “Lola,” for example.

He is the music producer behind one of the most prominent selling teen pop bands of the last 20 years in Latin America and the US Latin Market, RBD (13.5 million albums), and the songwriter of several of the biggest hits of this band.

His music has been part of many advertising tv campaigns for Pepsi, Cheetos, Volkswagen, Bimbo, and Walmart.

Currently, Carlos Lara is the Operative Vice President of SACM (Sociedad de Autores y Compositores de México) with a vast experience in new technologies thanks to several specializations in topics like Blockchain, Metaverse, IoT, and the application of VR and AR in the music field.
