Bic Runga
Bic Runga (Ngāti Kahungunu, Rongomaiwahine) is a songwriter and producer from New Zealand. She has been a non-executive writer-director for the APRA AMCOS board since 2019. Her debut album "Drive" achieved seven-times platinum status in her home country and featured the well-known track "Sway." In 2003, she became the first woman to win Best Producer at the Aotearoa Music Awards for her eleven-times platinum album "Beautiful Collision." Bic has received numerous accolades, including the APRA Silver Scroll for songwriting and twenty Aotearoa Music Awards—the most ever awarded to a single artist. She is a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her contributions to music, and in 2016, she was inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame.
