Beijing Copyright Seminars

A copyright seminary and the annual congress of Writers and Directors Worldwide took place in Beijing from the 4-6 of November. CIAM president Lorenzo Ferrero attended and delivered a keynote speech to update delegates on the progress made with the Fair Trade Music initiative. Mr Ferrero also met with the WIPO delegation, the British Embassy IP office, representatives of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Music Copyright Society of China, in view of the creation of an Asia-Pacific creators alliance.

The meetings were also useful to receive an update about the new copyright law in China from government representatives.
