Alfons Karabuda is a composer mainly having worked with music for film, TV and theatre, for companies such as BBC Drama, Zentropa and the Swedish national TV. He is engaged in several different organizations with common interests in creation, copyright and freedom of speech. Alfons Karabuda represents the European and Swedish professional songwriters, composers, lyricists and adaptors of all genres as the President of the European Composer and Songwriter Alliance (ECSA), and as Chair of the Swedish Society of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (SKAP).

The main purpose of these organisations is to advocate artistic rights, such as authors’ rights and artistic freedom of speech, and to promote musical diversity. Alfons Karabuda is also the Executive Vice President for the International Music Council (IMC), President of the Polar Music Prize Committee, as well as Board Member of Musiksverige, KLYS, Stim and the Royal College of Music.
