In these very challenging times for creators, the international presence and collaboration of music authors is more important than ever. Our right to appropriate remuneration must be strengthened and enforced on a worldwide basis, and especially in the stunningly disruptive field of GenAI we have to fight for a powerful alignment of creatives all over this planet.
I would like to continue the work I started in this regard on the CIAM Executive Committee, where I had the honor of contributing to a more unified stance through my reports and discussions on the lawsuits GEMA fought – and won - against OpenAI and SUNO. I hope that thanks to decades of international experience as a composer and producer, but also as a GEMA Board member and meanwhile its Chairman in my tenth year, I will be able to successfully contribute to mastering the important tasks that lie ahead of us. I would be very pleased if CIAM members again place their trust in me. Thank you for that!

Member of the Supervisory Board since 2003, its Chair since 2017; also member of various Supervisory Board committees and commissions as well as member of the Advisory Board of GEMA Foundation.

Longtime Vice President of Deutscher Komponist:innenverband (German Association of Composers); Supervisory Board member of Initiative Musik; Board und Foundation Group member at ICE Services; member of CIAM Executive Committee (International Council of Music Creators). Owner and Managing Director of PLAN 1 MEDIA GmbH & Co. KG with studios in Munich, Berlin, and St. Niklaus / Switzerland.
Main fields of activities
As a composer and producer, numerous works in the fields of pop, rock, jazz, etc. for Sportfreunde Stiller, Such A Surge, Mike Oldfield, Die Schweisser, Megaherz, Lovebugs, Ben & Kate, Bananafishbones, LBT, Kristjan Randalu, Pablo Held, Christian Lillinger, David Helbock, Aki Takase, and the big bands led by Monika Roscher, Don Ellis Tribute, HR, Don Menza, HiFlyOrchestra, Andromeda Mega Express. Works composed for TV, radio and multimedia, such as the longtime on-air design for ‘Bayern3’ as well as various theme tunes. Production and lyrics of more than 300 German song versions for cinema and TV productions such as "Meet the Robinsons", "Enchanted", "Arielle", "High School Musical", "The Three Robbers", "Little Einsteins", "My friends Tigger and Puuh" etc.
