Symposium on Protecting Free Speech in the Global Music Landscape
The International Music Council and National Music Council of the United States will hold the "Protecting Free Speech in the Global Music Landscape" online symposium on Friday, March 3rd at 9:00am EST.
Premiering on Music Freedom Day, the symposium will be able to be viewed here.
The symposium will feature panel discussions and interviews with leading international experts and activists.
The online event will be hosted by International Music Council Secretary General Silja Fischer and National Music Council of the United States President Dr. James Weaver. National Music Council Chair and MCNA Board Member Charles Sanders will be the interview host. National Music Council of the United States Executive Director Dr. David Sanders will be the symposium producer.
International Music Council President and ECSA Honorary President Alfons Karabuda and Charles Sanders will participate in a panel on historical repressions, past precedents, and cautionary tales. Alfons Karabuda will be moderating a panel on mobilizing to protect speech freedoms in the 21st century.
