ECSA AV Composers Contracts Report

ECSA publishes Audiovisual Composers’ Contracts report and recommendations

The European Composer and Songwriter Alliance (ECSA) published its report on Audiovisual Composers’ Contracts on January 28th.

The report follows consultations across Europe outlining and denouncing harmful contractual challenges that audiovisual composers in Europe encounter. This includes buyout contracts, work for hire provisions, waiving moral rights, and pseudo-publishing. The ECSA report provides seven recommendations to combat these challenges.
