ECSA publishes 2024-early 2025 Activity Report

The European Composer and Songwriter Alliance (ECSA) has released their 2024-early 2025 Activity Report. It details efforts the Alliance undertook on music streaming, AI, unfair contract practices, and other issues of music creators.

ECSA has been:

  • Raising concerns about the lack of consent, credit, and compensation;
  • Working with EU policy makers to implement recommendations of the European Parliament report on "Cultural diversity and the conditions for authors in the European music streaming market";
  • Advocating for policy makers and stakeholders to tackle unfair practices in audiovisual composers' contracts; and
  • Showcasing creators through ECCO Concerts for classical and contemporary music and the Camille Awards for excellence in film music.
